Julia (Lala)

Julia was born to      and      Landy on the      December 1918 in Dunleer, Co. Louth.

​

Lala's family moved to the townland of Mosstown, about 6 miles from Dunleer.

She has 3 sisters and one brother, Peg, Mary, Kitty and Peter.

​

She moved to Dublin in her early years and worked as a housekeeper in the Baldoyle area.

​

She met Patrick (Paddy) when he had returned to Ireland after his time in the USA.

​

When Michael moved out of the house to marry Renée Grant in 1966, Julia invited her sister Kitty to come and live with the family in Sutton.

​

Julia managed to bring up her family of 4 on her own with a little help from Paddy's sisters in the USA.

​

Lala finally reunited with Paddy on the 14th of November 1995 at the age of 77 years.
